Je viens de terminer de regarder Emily in Paris et je peux dire que j’ai passé un super moment. Emily (Lily Colins) est vive, enthousiaste et l’histoire est bien enlevée.
I’ve just finished watching “Emily in Paris” and I can say that I’ve had a great time. Emily (Lily Colins) is vivacious, enthusiastic and polite and the story is well-rounded.
On y découvre le choc des cultures : une américaine débarque à Paris et tous les clichés propres à chacune des cultures vont s’entrechoquer au fil des pérégrinations d’Emily et ainsi permettre d’en révéler diverses aspérités.

I like the acceptance that all is not paradise in Paris (because that would be strange and make it the only such place on this planet). The clichés around French and American behaviour are well portrayed, I feel, albeit wittingly somewhat inflated (after all, this is entertainment!). To be insulted by these clichés is ridiculous. On the other hand, Emily is just the little angel in the midst of it all and it’s not she who displays the worst side of American work culture — it’s her boss.
